The academic research system incentivises an autonomous approach to knowledge creation and delivery. It is less of a team effort in terms of data collection and analyses. For this particular group interaction, this was largely the case.
🤹🏽♀️ Team Composition and Roles
Our dual set-up during the interview and home visit allowed two types of data collection:
- Structured - standard questionnaires and surveys that fit the journal publication requirements for Saskia
- Unstructured - contextual prompts include lifestyle and free discussion that is the norm in anthropology
Learning: While both methods adhered to human-centred design principles, not all human-centred design approaches are the same or produce the same results.
